Educational Requirements for Substance Use Disorder Licensing

Applicants for this license must have completed a minimum of 90 credits, including 45 credits of Substance Use Disorder coursework. Individuals who have earned a college degree, or have a sufficient number of credits, may complete the 45 credits of Substance Use Disorder coursework required to pursue a license as a substance use disorder professional. The additional requirements for becoming a licensed substance use disorder professional can be found through the Washington State Department of Health.
